Hi there!

Turkey Trot

For those of you who have expressed interest in running the Turkey Trot here in Columbus this year, I will be in touch with you with the details shortly and they will only be sent to those who have expressed interest. ...and thank you for your interest! It will be a fun run.

Here is the link again for the details about the race in case you still want to join us. Just click on the link below:

Turkey Trot Columbus

We have a few runners and quite a few walkers. If you are still interested, please do not hesitate to contact me. Let me just say if you are a walker and you are doing the "Walk and Talk". There really is no need to "train" for it. All you have to do is show up for the race. So don't feel obligated to designate time to run for it.

Remember: This is an early morning race, so you will have plenty of time to return home and enjoy your usual eating and festivities for the rest of the day. I will say that the food is that much more satisfying after you've put in your mileage! It's really a great beginning to a day of usual overindulgence. So please consider it. There is a free pumpkin pie awarded to the first 1000 participants! I hope to see you there.

24 Days of Real/Whole Food Challenge

Join me for a Whole Food Challenge for 24 days! This challenge will end on Thanksgiving Day and there is a prize included for the winner! If you are interested please contact me: CONTACT ME!!

I will only be in contact on the details of this with those who sign up THROUGH THE ABOVE LINK ONLY. Please fill out all information on that page. All other inquiries will be ignored if you should contact me through other means. Just FYI. If you know of a friend who is interested and is not on my ezine list, then just forward this ezine to them and they can sign up that way. I will then send you the details and specifics to get you started. It is fairly simple and you will be required to check in every week. You will not be sorry you signed up for something to keep you focused and accountable!!

This is an attempt to keep you focused at least up through Thanksgiving! That will give us most of December to get through. Baby steps is imperative to stay on track through the holiday season.

What's New?

One of my trainer buddies, Adam Kessler, is Central Ohio's leading expert on how to get athletes stronger and faster. He's got a great place up in Dublin and getting enviable results with some of Columbus' young up and coming athletes. He wanted me to share with you that they are running a group speed/quickness class (for any athlete, but especially spring sport athletes) starting November 12 he is running a clinic called Winter Blast and they still have spots left if you know of or have athletes interested.

Rather than me explain all the details, go to

Winter Blast Speed Training Program

where he has a short video explanation and all the important stuff (cost, dates, times, etc.).

If you do decide to participate, mention I referred you. Adam and his assistant Bryan are great trainers from first hand personal experience. I've known Adam for close to 10 years now and he's even been helping me on some explosive plyometric exercises to get me prepared for some of my contests. Check it out. You won't be sorry.

As always, if you have any comments, thoughts, or questions don't be afraid to CONTACT ME!!

In the meantime, please take care of yourself. You're worth it and you deserve it! - Velma
