The Accidental Harvest

So, in walking through the yard today I found a few gifts!  I have no idea what I'm going to do with the acorn squash yet, but I do know what I will do with the tomatoes.

Unfortunately, I did not make the time to plant a garden this season and it could not have been a more perfect season for it because of the unseasonal amount of rain we'd received.  I do believe we are on record this year of over 30 days of rain in a row.

Anyway, despite the fact that I did not plant a garden, I did get an accidental harvest from my compost heap!  What beauties huh?  I do have quite a few bell peppers that continue to grow that are overtaking my compost heap and I've decided to continue with the lazy gardening and leave them alone.  I'll take whatever comes.  There will be much more where this came from!
